Lake Mburo National Park

Lake Mburo National Park. – Whispers of the wildS
This is one of the smallest National Park which extends over 260km2 of Undulating territory in the middle of an extensive rich acacia woodland open savanna.

It is one of the Uganda’s most spectacular and breathtaking game parks, Lake Mburo itself the largest of five Lakes that lies with in the park boundaries and park of a cluster of 14 Lakes that are fed by Rwizi River and connected by several and seasonal swamps.

It’s a very special place with a medley of habitats ranging from dry hillsides, rocky outcrops, bushy thickets, open and wooded savannas to forests, lakes and swamps.

In addition to its sculptured land scape, idyllic lake shores, forest galleries and grassy valleys all support a wealth of wildlife in atypical setting.

Lake Mburo harbors several species not easily observed elsewhere in Uganda and this is why the park is remarkably different from other parks.

It is the only reserve in the country that supports the population of impala, gigantic eland Burch Elle’s, common mammal species including buffalos, oribi, Deffasa, water buck, reed bucks, Giraffes, Common Duiker and many more including acacia associated birds of about 332 species recorded. The five lakes within the park also attracts hippos and crocodiles and this is why we have to take you there for your holiday and for the good memory and pictures for life.
